When top fashion designers look for creative inspiration, there is no place more vibrant and filled with unique patterns than the animal kingdom. Zebras, leopards, cheetahs, and tigers sport showy spots, stripes and tons of other fun patterns. Eye-catching animal prints have long been reflected in fashion, but today’s savvy designers offer plenty of faux fur designs, so animal lovers can proudly don their favorite animals’ colors. cachcach, Biscotti and Corky & Company have perfectly captured the stunning style of nature’s critters, in animal-activist approved fabrics, faux furs and wild trims, that have all the stylish kids taking a walk on the wild side!

As the owner of No Slippy Hair Clippy ®, Annie Salyer is immersed in all things girly — bows, ribbons, flowers, barrettes, and fabric. But this mother of two boys isn’t complaining. “Honestly, I think most girls love hair accessories,” she says. “I grew up with four sisters, and we were always putting clips, ribbons and bows in our hair. I definitely have more of a passion now, especially after serving as the sole Hair Clippy designer the past six years.”

Cooking together has been a recipe for bonding and memory making with children for generations. Kids love stirring it up with Mom, Dad and Grandma. In addition to getting to “lick the spoon,” children learn about healthy ingredients, simple math, flavorful spices and basic cooking skills. However, as any good chef knows, cooking can make a fine mess! Aprons are therefore an essential “uniform” in the kitchen. Colorful aprons from Art•Style•Design Living can make kids (and their assistants) look and feel like real chefs!

Mixing rainy days with children can be a recipe for disaster. When kids are stuck indoors, they get antsy, loud, and BORED! Cooped up kids are dangerous to family health, as they push just the right buttons to drive parents crazy, or at least to distraction. Retailers to the rescue! Help families quickly cool down the kids’ cabin fever with entertaining products from The Little Experience, eebee, GIANTmicrobes, and Buckyballs. With a surplus of tedium tamers on hand, your business will be on your customers’ list of “fun places to go,” and they will happily spend extra time and money in your store.
