Lookin’ and Cookin’ Good for the Holidays
Time to celebrate, it’s the holiday season! Christmas and Hanukkah parties and New Year’s Eve galas make the month of December a favorite time for consumers and sellers alike. After all, ‘tis the season to dress to the nines, deck the halls, cook up an old-time figgy pudding, and play some merry party games. Just as shoppers want to throw fantastic parties and give the most thoughtful presents, retailers aspire to stand out as the favored destination for children’s holiday outfits, party supplies, and stocking stuffers — plus all those toys and goodies on the wish lists of good little boys and girls!
Retailers can look to The Giggle Guide® to find special yuletide products that stand apart from the rest. Your customers will love dressing their children in luxurious clothing from Australian designer Minihaha and Hiawatha Pty LTD; decorating their gifts and home with festive wrappings and goods from The Gift Wrap Company; cooking up scrumptious recipes from a Handstand Kids cookbook; and providing lively entertainment for party guests — courtesy of the conversation starter game, The Box Girls-Box of Questions®, Christmas or Hanukkah edition.
Minnihaha and Hiawatha Offers a Full Tribe of Brands
Starting in 1994 with only a small range of baby and girls’ wear, Minihaha and Hiawatha Pty LTD has grown to be a leader in children’s clothing throughout Australia, exporting quality fashions to New Zealand, Europe, Indonesia, Canada, the USA, the UK, and Singapore. Minihaha and Hiawatha offers six different labels and 750 clothing styles for newborns through preteens.
Embracing both woven and knitted styles, the Minihaha range is for girls ages 1 to 10. Minihaha dresses are both fancy and playful, and the designs are inspired by European high fashion. Tahlia, the company’s newest label for girls 3 to 14, offers contemporary designs in denim, fleece, and knitwear, along with funky graphic tees and dresses.
For the littlest ones, the WOOF! Toddler (under age 4) collection is full of cool tee shirts, matching pants, and soft quality knits, all tested for shrinkage and durability, as the creators realize how adventuresome toddlers can be. Bébé and Bébé Jr. are the other lines for children newborn to age 6, and these lines include body suits, jackets, rompers and leggings in gender neutral designs and colors.

The Handstand Kids Cookbooks Include Ingredients for Learning
The Handstand Kids Cookbook Company’s motto is, “Traveling the world, one recipe at a time.” International cookbooks educate and empower children by teaching them about the cuisine, language, and culture of other countries. In addition, teaching children to cook is a recipe for making great family memories!
There are currently three cookbooks: Handstand Kids Italian Cookbook, which is cleverly packaged in a pizza box and includes a chef’s hat; Handstand Kids Mexican Cookbook, packaged in a tortilla bag with a kid-size oven mitt; and Handstand Kids Chinese Cookbook which comes in a fun “take-out” box with chopsticks included.
To guide children through each cookbook experience, there are the five Handstand Kids: Felix the vegetarian, Izzy the picky eater, bilingual Gabby, Marvin the aspiring chef, and Ari, who volunteers her cooking skills to make things for charities.
The chance to see the world —and taste it— is a gift that keeps on cooking!

Box of Questions is the Answer to Holiday Sharings
One fortuitous night in a restaurant in 2002, the service was so slow that mothers Cece Feiler and Heidi Haddad were desperate for a way to entertain their squirrely children. They began asking their kids pointed questions to help keep them distracted. Out of this surprisingly successful night, The Box Girls Box Of Questions® was started. Since then, The Box Girls have sold over 550,000 Box of Questions® and raised $85,000 for charity!
Each Box of Questions is age appropriate and is general or themed, depending on the specific box. For the holidays, the Christmas Box of Questions and the Hanukkah Box of Questions add a fun way to celebrate the season.
Both the Christmas and Hanukkah boxes are $19.95 retail, and include 82 question cards. The Christmas Box of Questions is ideal for ages 13 and up; the Hanukkah Box of Questions is designed for 4 and up. Sample questions include, “What gifts do we give on Christmas that do not come in a box?” and “What does the ‘symbol of light’ mean to you?”
