Baby Carrier Industry Alliance Partners with Jacoby Solutions to Offer Members CPSIA Ready

In their ongoing effort to ensure that parents and babies continue to have access to safe, quality baby carriers, the Baby Carrier Industry Alliance (BCIA) has partnered with Jacoby solutions to offer BCIA members CPSIA Ready, an affordable, comprehensive compliance and service solution. Developed by veteran juvenile products industry distributor Bill Jacoby, CPSIA Ready enables manufacturers to integrate ongoing Consumer Product Safety Information Act (CPSIA) requirements into daily operations to reduce the time and resources required to become and remain compliant and to exercise due care throughout a product’s life cycle. On-demand support delivered by Jacoby Solutions’ team of experts helps manufacturers take the guesswork out of CPSIA compliance.

Launched in June, CPSIA Ready provides companies an easy-to-implement comprehensive compliance system which addresses current CPSC requirements: (1) proof of written compliance standards and policies, (2) retention of all compliance-related records for a minimum of five years; (3) assignment of a senior-level compliance manager/officer; (4) a confidential and operational process for employees to be able to report compliance related questions or issues to a compliance manager/officer; and (5) mandatory training on company compliance-related policies and procedures for all applicable employees and stakeholders.
