Kikli Design's Boho Dresses Feature Custom Florals Inspired by the British Countryside for Fall '14

Kikli Design's drop-waist Olivia dress for Fall '14.

REDONDO BEACH, CALIF. (February 24, 2014)—Kikli Design continues its quest to inject the excitement of travel into every little girl’s wardrobe. After a successful launch collection brimming with the colors and patterns of India, the line heads to Great Britain for Fall ’14. The line’s custom prints recall the textile and wallpaper design style made famous by William Morris, while others reveal a fondness for the legendary Hidcote gardens. And, of course, no British floral collection would be complete without the iconic English Rose. The stately beauty of these fabrics is combined with easy silhouettes for a line that’s equally at home at high tea or a play date in the park. The Fall ’14 line, which ranges from size 12 months to 8, will be exhibited at ENK Children’s Club in booth #8435 in New York March 9th – 11th.

Kikli Design plays with scale on its Sophia dress for Fall '14.

“When people think of Great Britain, often landmarks like Big Ben, the Tower of London and the London Eye are the first things to come to mind, but there’s so much more to explore. This season’s collection is an invitation to take time out from harried, scheduled vacations to get off the beaten path to stop and smell the roses,” says Harjot Gill, founder of Kikli Design. “Kikli Design’s fall line showcases the best of the English country side, gardens and restrained beauty.”

Kikli Design’s Fall ’14 collection is comprised of seven dress silhouettes, each punctuated by imaginative pattern mixes, colorful combinations and sweet finishing touches.

• The Sophia is a floaty empire-waist dress with a square neckline and contrast fabric at the yolk, cuffs and the second of two ruffles at the hem.

Pattern mixing adds extra interest to Kikli Design's Hannah dress for Fall '14.

• The Jasmine offers understated charm with a solid color accented with floral embroidery at the bodice and patterned piping and trim at the neckline, wrists and hem. The dress is offered in infants through girls.

• The drop-waist ruffle hem of the Olivia is offset by a square neckline tied with a dainty bow and solid pops of color at the neck and wrists.

• Mixing a trio of floral prints from delicate to bold add extra interest to the Paige dress, which features a tiered circle skirt for twirling.

• Pattern mixing and colorful trim create a bold statement on the Hannah dress, which features a contrasting print on the oval yolk and generous hem.

• The drop-waist Gia dress features gold trim and ribbon detail running down the bodice, ending in a flouncy, gathered skirt.

• The Allie dress, which is offered exclusively in infant sizes, features contrast smocking detail just below the empire waist along with matching trim and buttons along the neckline.

The line features an abundance of flowers, flowers and more flowers. Painterly oversized roses bloom next to geometric block print florals on a mint field; blue tones receive a jolt from fuchsia as bold dots play off of an intricate spray of petals and vines; a smattering of pink flowering stems shower a slate background; periwinkle and red dominate on a mix of large blossoms paired with a ditzy wildflowers and even more delicate buds; and plum bursts forth with mixed bouquets and loose sprigs. And finally, the line gives a nod to royalty with a pattern that features a shower of regal crowns.

The collection provides a warm and inviting color palette full of deep plums, saturated teals, brilliant blues, leafy greens, pretty pinks and serene slate blues. Visit Kikli Design at www.kiklidesign.com.
