There is no argument that the 4th quarter holiday season is the strongest time of year for retail. Consumers are looking for gifts for their loved ones. They use their gift certificates or holiday bonuses to purchase items that they’ve been waiting months to afford. And, they look for discounted prices on their wish list items.

According to the Association of National Advertisers, PR may actually be getting a boost during the recession. While companies are cutting back on sponsorships, production, and media budgets, many are continuing or increasing the more inexpensive art of public relations.

If a tree falls in the forest, does it make a sound? You’ll never know. The same is true if you develop a product. If you don’t share it with the media, nobody will know about it.
