It is often said that the baby is small but its “stuff” is enormous. Little clothes pile up, diapers seemingly multiply, books abound, and toys happen. There never seems to be enough space to keep it all, which is the rationale behind these exceptional storage and organization products. Everyone functions more smoothly when items are easy to locate and there’s no need for a finding frenzy. The Giggle Guide® recommends these brands that help organize closets, tidy toys and shelve books: The Happy Closet, 3 Sprouts, Oeuf and Tidy Books.

For summer traveling or just hanging out, take note of a new line of tee shirts that celebrate fabulousness and adventures. Lately Lily is the star of the show, a curious girl who loves to visit foreign places accompanied by her bright yellow suitcase. The tees come in twenty-five versions, each with a hand-drawn graphic and a hand-drawn hangtag that details Lily’s thoughts on the places she’s visited. Lily’s adventures give shoppers a way to bring home the gift of curiosity, a quality Lily has in abundance. The tees and tags are also a way to motivate kids to keep notes on the world around them.

Spunge products are designed with an awareness that children learn through exploration and discovery. Spunge’s super-soft baby blankets are made engaging through nature-inspired graphics, three-dimensional appliqués and embroidery. Children will delight in these intriguing textures and designs that reflect the beauty of nature.

Buying children’s shoes used to be a chore, but with the popularity of easy-fastening systems and styles that practically dance out of the store, the experience is a lot easier and far more fun. The children’s shoes of today are as jazzy and comfortable as manufacturers can make them. Shoes from Kirsten Licet, Zooshuu, Zooligans and Lelli Kelly take a cue from the animal world to come up with captivating designs that attract kids’ attention. When shoes have child-appeal in the design, and make sense to adult shoppers with fine materials and top quality construction, the bottom line will show the results.

“A” is for alphabet, “B” is for book and “F” is for the family owned company that publishes books in the AlphabetownUSA series where letters have distinctive personalities. The books, which incorporate bright, engaging illustrations, introduce language skills to young children who giggle over the adventures of Nancy, a green “N,” Frank, a bright red “F” and slate blue “Z” for Ziggy. With lots of help from their four children, Ryan and Nicole Mayer of Rolesville, NC, created the AlphabetownUSA series, illustrated by artist Russ Simmons.

Beloved the world over, Sesame Street entertains and educates children in over 160 countries. What better way to help parents teach children about the world outside their borders than to bridge the gap with the little muppet faces kids (and their parents) know and love? Kiwi Industries adds to the global appeal by launching the “Sesame Street Around the World” collection. It features all the familiar faces with designer colors, updated graphics, and the character’s name in three different languages. Children will enjoy learning what their favorite characters’ names are in different languages, and parents will appreciate the designer look in 100% washable organic cotton.

Socks are an essential part of any wardrobe. Gone are the days of boring, solid colored socks. Today, even the tiniest toes have a more colorful and cozy selection of socks than ever before! For babies, socks that look like shoes are adorable and make quite the fashion statement. Socks that let children express their individuality through bold patterns, bright colors, and awesome animals are a huge hit with kids and parents alike. Companies like Sock it to Me, Happy Socks, Zutano and Bibi & Mimi are creating high-quality socks for little feet that have toes wiggling and feet tapping.

Looking incredibly sharp is important to tweens, who flaunt their style and eye each other’s stuff to be sure theirs is up to snuff. Girls love to be able to show off a new handbag, pair of shoes or bathing suit cover up and bask in the compliments they get. After all, for the time being, it is all about them. Here are some brand recommendations for cool clothes and accessories made to help young girls feel like they belong: 9’s Swimwear, !iT Jeans, LUV Footwear and m.adonia kids.

Joseph and Laralyn RiverWind are the founders and co-owners of Native Touch, an all-natural body care company. Based in western North Carolina, Native Touch knows one thing that sets them apart from other body care companies is that they are not rebottlers. All Native Touch products are original, proprietary recipes formulated by Laralyn, an herbal biologist. Native Touch’s philosophy is inspired by the teachings of their elders, who taught them, if you can’t eat it, you shouldn’t put it on your body. Their vision for the future revolves around the ancient indigenous wisdom of basing the decisions of today on the way it will affect the next seven future generations.
