He recently presented a decidedly informative Retail Management seminar at the Atlanta Gift Show in which he highlighted the “must knows” and “must haves” to survive in the gift boutique business in today’s economy and beyond. The Giggle Guide® is happy to share some insightful highlights from Larry Lucas’ excellent seminar.

The Consumer Electronics Show was just held in Las Vegas, and sometimes you can get a feel for the economy and markets in general from this show, as it is the first big tradeshow of the year.

GOOD NEWS! Attendance was up at the CES over 2009. This bodes well for the economy, as it may just be that consumers are finally starting to feel a little more positive.

While Halloween celebrations have existed in Europe for centuries, children dressing up in costume and “trick-or-treating” didn’t become popular in the U.S. until the 1930s. Nearly 80 years later, Halloween in the U.S. has become a multi-billion dollar industry. To celebrate this spookiest of holidays, The Giggle Guide® takes a look at some of the creative dress-up options available for kids (and parents) today. Even if it’s too late for Halloween ‘09, we all know children enjoy dressing up and playing make-believe all year long!

The Giggle Guide® surveyed 26 mothers, living throughout the United States and Canada, about today’s children’s market and the products they purchase. The fifth question in our exclusive series asks…
