All About Wee Be Organic^®

Soft natural cotton. Fair trade practices. Ecologically friendly farming and production. These are the components that make up our Wee BE Organic^® line of 100% certified organic cotton baby products.

All of our Wee BE Organic^® baby products are made from 100% organically grown and milled cotton and adhere firmly to printing processes that pass Global Organic Textile Standards (GOTS). Our packaging is simple, PVC free, and passes GOTS standards.

In searching the planet for 100% organic cotton fabrics with sustainable prints, I learned that what passes for “organic” can often be misleading. Many manufacturers tout Bamboo as their version of “organic.” Bamboo is certainly a sustainable resource. It’s a grass not a tree, and it grows like the wind. However, the chemical process involved in turning Bamboo into fabric requires the use of harsh chemicals, which are toxic to humans and the environment. We do not feel the manufacturing of Bamboo can be categorized, in any way, as organic.

Visiting www.cleanshopper.com, you’ll notice that not all Babe Ease^® products carry the Wee BE Organic^® label. Babe Ease^® prides itself on using only the safest, non-toxic dyes in all of our lines. Over the years, Babe Ease^® has earned a reputation for producing quality baby products that are both affordable and safe. And we have taken great care to ensure that all of our Clean Shopper^® shopping cart covers, Clean Diner^® high chair covers, Clean Burper^® burp cloths, Bibs, Caps, Bodysuits, Toys and Books are lead free and meet stringent CPSIA regulations.

We constantly strive to improve our lines and want to do our ecological part in the world. Our Wee BE Organic^® brand is helping us take this big step. While prices for this line are more expensive than some of our others, producing products in an ecological manner is simply more labor intensive, so it costs more. As our Wee BE Organic^® line grows, we hope our costs will fall in line with more conventionally produced goods.
