Super Cool Kids’ Clothing Launches in UK with Spring/Summer 2012 Collection

Designed in Canada, SCKC’s styles are high quality, mix-able, match-able and manufactured with very comfortable fabrics. Introduced just a year ago with the opening of it’s mid-town Toronto flagship store, the brand is already a big hit with moms and dads who love it’s superior quality and complete practicality – mix-and-match makes dressing kids a no-brainer in styles that rock in the playground and hold the lime light at a party.

Lauren and her mother, Rose Fishman, conceived the idea of SCKC after the birth of Lauren’s first child. Jake was the first grandson in the family and while it had always been easy to find girls’ wear, cool duds for little guys was a sparse commodity. Rose came out of a short-lived retirement and Lauren left her law job to start designing super cool kids’ clothing for both boys and girls. They are two generations of mompreneurs. Since its inception in 2009, the mother-grandmother team has loved every minute – and challenge – of building this business from the ground up.

In just over a year, the brand has expanded its presence across Canada and the United States where it can be found in mid-to-high end children’s boutiques. In June, 2012, the brand will launch in the UK at Bubble, London. For 2012, SCKC has fallen head-over-heels in love with spring. Casual and sporty yet chic and sophisticated, the collection makes bold dramatic statements with color – textured black backdrop for neon paint splatters and fluttering florals on a coral sunrise, appliquéd hearts and butterflies and gardens bursting with flowers – everything you could possibly love about sping.. .

The collection is imbued with a Euro flair flirting with looks that are a bit retro, a bit vintage, a bit urban and simply totally obsessed with detail, detail, detail …. Such as unfinished raw-edges and inside-out seams and layered appliqués and exposed neon zippers popping on the denim jeggings. Some favorite looks include the adorable reversible T-shirt dress – stripes on one side and large languid butterfly on the other, fashionable floral tunics and ruched leggings for girls, and graphic Tshirts and stylish shorts for boys.
