pediped® will participate in the VH1 Save the Music Foundation's Family Day in October

New York, NY (July 12, 2011) — On July 12th pediped® footwear announced a $15,000 grant donation to the VH1 Save the Music Foundation in support of instrumental music education. pediped® footwear’s goal is to give back to children in need and their generous donation to the VH1 Save The Music Foundation will bring the organization one step closer to achieving their goal of ensuring that no child be deprived of the opportunity to experience a complete education that includes music.

The Foundation will match pediped® footwear’s donation to fully restore an instrumental music education program. To date, the VH1 Save The Music Foundation has provided more than $47 million in new musical instruments to 1,750 public schools in more than 100 cities around the country, impacting the lives of over 1.6 million children.

“We are very excited to partner with pediped® footwear and greatly appreciate their generous donation,” said Paul Cothran, Executive Director of the VH1 Save The Music Foundation. “Together we are working to ensure that all students throughout the country receive the benefits of music study and are continuing to raise awareness about the need for music education programs in our nation’s public schools.”

pediped® footwear was founded in 2004 by Angela and Brian Edgeworth in their quest for the perfect soft-soled shoe for their first daughter.
