I have had the recent pleasure of coming across a special little store. Upon entering their Web site you are instantly aware that you are about to venture where only the cutest, sweetest baby things are.. pictures of little angels in leopard leotards and flapper style hats let you know that you are in for a unique experience. This is not your average Baby Boutique. In fact this is Brea’s Baby Boutique, and I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

Behind The Brand” gets personal with Knuckleheads’ “head” designer Melissa Nash. The popular active boy’s brand is a little bit retro and a lot rad. Melisa shares the success story of her family business and previews what’s up for Knuckleheads for Spring ‘10.

Hello everyone…I just received an e-mail from Southern Living magazine that the video is up for the 2009 Idea House in Port Aransas,Texas. They included some of my art for the children’s upstaris bedroom. They only show the Mod Owls in the room, but they did put some others in there as well. You’ll have to pick up the August issue to see the rest. I’m so excited and honored to be chosen as one of the many artists throughout the house. Click on the link below to watch the video…and my art is shown around the 2-minute mark. Thanks for looking..Smile

BuckleyCat by BucklyBoo, a huggable developmental toy based on multi-stage learning has been selected for the Best Play and Learn Vacation Program awarded a Dr. Toy’s “Best Products Award.”

During the recent June market week, I visited a few showrooms on the 6th floor at the California Market Center, Los Angeles. There is so much new product to see and discover, a buyer could easily spend several days shopping and not see it all. I visited several showrooms that are members of Kids on 6, a co-op association of permanent showrooms at the California Market Center, Los Angeles. They work together to promote the many benefits retailers find year-round on the 6th floor. I noticed that all the showrooms have spiffed up their product displays, added welcoming touches for retailers, and have added new products from their existing brands, while adding new lines, especially in gift and non-seasonal products.

Here is Part 1 of my personal picks from my recent visit:

Almost every new mother that attempts to breastfeed struggles with a reality that is much more confusing and difficult than she ever imagined. Moms of multiples face an even steeper climb to the bliss of “established breastfeeding.” With the unbelievable demands of a newborn, caring for multiples can make breastfeeding seem impossible.

With multiples comes a unique set of challenges which may include prematurity, low birth weight, and skyrocketing costs. Considering both the health and cost benefits, it is no wonder many moms of multiples wish to breastfeed their babies.

Inspired by “the little girl with laughter in her eyes, fire in her spirit, love in her heart and dance in her feet,” Mimi & Maggie create a carefree collection.
