J. Austin Ryan Designs - Immerse yourself in some completely cool art!

J. Austin Ryan was created by artist and illustrator, Marnie Vollenhals. At a young age Marnie was born with natural talent, she even still has her kindergarten award “ Most Artistic”. Growing up in Southern California definitely gave Marnie her own unique style.

For nine years she worked on contract work for other companies and as an Art Director for a high end furniture company. It was at this point in her life where she expanded her art ability and got to experience what it was like to run a business. From attending trade shows, designing furniture, to training artists to paint in production, her skills have grown. Marnie also designed a line of kid’s art for a major client and is still being sold across the world today.

Now, with her husband David, and his job relocating them to Texas, Marnie started creating works of art in her spare time. Donating to local charities and organizations nationwide, she started to notice a following. So with the support of her husband and family, Marnie decided to jump into the industry again. But this time it was completely her own. With that said, J. Austin Ryan was created. The name comes from her three boys Jacob, Ryan, and Austin. They truly are the coolest kids on the block. She creates her designs in her home studio which still allows her to join in as all time quarterback for a neighborly football game, be followed around by her two little dogs, and still be able to meet deadlines!

Marnie creates her images with complete satisfaction. With its clean lines and bright colors, J. Austin Ryan delivers a unique style of its own. J. Austin Ryan brings modern, retro, and classic style art all in one. All designs are hand-painted and done in small batches. She recently added some limited editions prints as well. With this in mind, quality products are used and nothing is sent out unless it is perfect. All of the art is sealed, signed by artist Marnie V., and limited editions are numbered.

In the industry her art is said to be “completely simple, happy, and cool.” Besides giving to all her friends and family, Marnie also donates at least two pieces of art a month to local and worldwide charities for children. Marnie truly believes that art can capture a smile on a child’s face, which is simply enjoyable.
