ImagiPLAY’s motto, “Toys with Integrity,” guides its business philosophy. The toys help educate children in an imaginative way that connects them to the wonders of the planet. Founded by Barbera Aimes over ten years ago, ImagiPLAY creates products made from eco-friendly materials that are safe for the environment and children. The toys teach fundamental lessons, such as counting, the alphabet and animal recognition. All of this is done in a creative manner that keeps children curious, interested and entertained.

Easing a child’s fears of the dark is one of the toughest challenges many parents face. Night terror disrupts the entire household and can be extremely difficult to overcome. Creating a peaceful bedtime ritual that allays these fears is easier with products that shed some light onto the problem and induce sweet dreams. Scary monsters don’t dare stick so much as one treacherous claw out of the closet when luminous night lights from Cloud B, Heritage Mint, Boon, Inc., and Pink Magnolia cast their protective spell over a room!

Mealtime with kids can sometimes prove to be a challenge. Often more food ends up on the table than in little ones’ bellies! On top of the mess, children tend to get bored sitting and waiting for their parents to finish. Modern-twist has designed an eco-chic solution to mealtime mayhem, while making a trendy statement in any modern home. Modern-twist’s stylish, silicone placemats offer a non-porous, germ-free surface, making clean-up a breeze. Equally appealing are the placemats’ cool graphics, which invite children to channel their creative side by using wipe-off markers to express themselves.

They have been immortalized in marble, regaled in poetry, noted in song, and celebrated with commemorative days. They have been reflected in the adoring faces of little children, had their names tattooed on their sons’ arms and their figures captured in crayon on their daughters’ refrigerator art. In whatever language — madre, muti, moeder, mère, mãe — they are mothers! Recently, www.Babble.com chose the “Top 50 Mompreneurs of 2011” to honor for their entrepreneurial spirit and prowess. Among the distinguished honorees are Kelly Meyer Douglas of Itzy Ritzy, Jenny Ford of Monkey-Toes, Julie Aigner-Clark of Baby Einstein, and Aileen Chen of Belly Armor. Congratulations!

“Eleanor the hippo talked a lot, which is good sometimes… but sometimes not. It’s fine to have a conversation full of honest information, But sadly what she’d sometimes do is tell a tale that wasn’t true.” People, famous and not, have been making observations about truth versus lies for centuries. Andy McGuire, author of Eleanor the Hippo Learns to Tell the Truth, adds his sage observations to the mix with an engaging children’s book teaching kids ages 3 through 8 the benefits of, and reasons to practice, honesty.
