While us adults are always telling kids how good they have it, little ones have a big world to learn their way around. Bombarded with scary and inexplicable events on television and online, intense emotions can be frightening and difficult to cope with. One way Andi Green dealt with those scary feelings was through art. Her drawings created a lifeline to express the complicated monsters in her head. And by personifying the emotions, she was empowered and began to share her creations. And so our world has been gifted with The WorryWoo Monsters, an award-winning series of books and plush dolls written and illustrated by Green.

Playtime New York - Manhattan, (8/1/15 - 8/3/15)

For those in North America, the Playtime New York show is the one of the biggest events of the year where designers, toy-makers and retailers all come together to display their latest creations and network with others in the business. This year, Playtime New York took place August 1st-3rd at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Manhattan. As always, Playtime featured well-established businesses as well as new arrivals from around the world. Finkelstein’s, Ultra Violet, tinycottons and Oli & Carol are among the notable companies that were in attendance at this season’s show.

The bar is being set increasingly higher for boutiques to carry quality organic items that are also stylish; These brands make is easy to go green: Little Citizens focuses on modern pieces in soft colors and sweet patterns, all 100% organic cotton with sateen and flannel finishes.
